Glen Cove City Councilman Anthony Jimenez was recently honored as one of Long Island's Top Latinos by LaFiesta Radio. The award was presented earlier this month to 100 Latino leaders in government, business and entertainment. 

The station recognized Jimenez for his community leadership and volunteerism. Jimenez helps with the City of Glen Cove Youth Board, serving as chairman of Glen Cove's SAFE Initiative and volunteers his time to help local soup kitchens and work as a youth mentor.

Jimenez has also been an employee of the Unified Court System for 21 years and was recently appointed as deputy commissioner of jurors. He is a member of the Glen Cove EMS, where he previously served as chief of the department.
