The Annual Tree of Lights Ceremony will take place at Glen Cove Hospital today. Read on for more details of this special holiday event.

Have an event you'd like to share with your neighbors? Add it to the calendar.

1. Residents are invited to attend the Annual Tree of Lights Ceremony at Glen Cove Hospital at 4 p.m. It will take place in the lobby, and just outside the main entrance. For each person being honored or remembered, an individual light will illuminate on a 25-foot tree. North Shore High School students will sing popular holiday songs, and light refreshments will be served.

2. Bring your children 18 months to 3 years old to the Community Room at Glen Cove Public Library for “A Time for Kids” at 10:30 a.m. Join library staff and other local families for music and fun. Children also have the opportunity to make a special "Snowman" craft.

3. Glen Cove Weather Report: Expect some clouds in the morning, which will give way to mainly sunny skies for the afternoon, with a high of 51.

4. Top Chef season five contestant Danny Gagnon has opened an Italian-Asian fusion restaurant in Glen Head. Check out Glen Cove Patch’s interview with Gagnon to learn more about his new local establishment.
