Jan. 20: Weekend Edition

Here's a look at what's happening in Glen Cove today and throughout the weekend.

 

1. Get the shovels ready, Glen Cove, because snow could be on the way. According to weather.com, snow showers may develop after midnight tonight. We are expecting 1-2 inches of snow on Saturday with a high of 34. This would be the first accumulating snowfall since the historic October snowstorm.

2. Join Joy Oddo for music, dance, games and more to exercise the muscles and the mind with your little one, ages 18 months to 4 years, at the Glen Cove Public Library. Program begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room.

3. Today is the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Jack’s Shack in Glen Head. Stay tuned for coverage.

4. Big Red Sports: Glen Cove air rifle takes on Chaminade @ home, 4:15 p.m. Glen Cove boys basketball is @ Floral Park, 4:45 p.m. Glen Cove girls basketball faces Floral Park @ home tonight, 6:30 p.m.
