Nov. 29: Mangano to Visit Glen Cove

Here's a look at what's happening in Glen Cove today.

 

1. County Executive Edward Mangano and Mayor Ralph Suozzi announce the completion of the Gladsky Marine site cleanup today at 10 a.m. on Garvies Point Road. The remediation of the 3/4-acre brownfield will be commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Stay tuned to Glen Cove Patch for coverage.

2. There is a Speed Networking event at Atria Glen Cove tonight at 6 p.m. Meet with local professionals and enter raffle to win a new iPad. Admission is free. To reserve a spot, call 516-671-7008.

3. Glen Cove Weather Report: Expect considerable cloudiness today, and occasional rain showers in the afternoon, with a high of 62.

4. Today at the Glen Cove Public Library: “How to Beat the High Cost of College,” a seminar explaining the college financial aid process, will be held in the Community Room at 7 p.m. “Music Together,” a class for ages 1-4, will also take place in the Community Room at 1:30 p.m.
