Oyster Bay Historical Society Honors Residents

Several Long Island residents win awards for their work from the Oyster Bay Historical Society

The Oyster Bay Historical Society honored its "Top Advocates for Historical Preservation and Education" with awards presented at the Woodlands Mansion in Woodbury last week.

Among the honorees was well-known historian and Theodore Roosevelt impersonator Jim Foote.

Other honorees  were Long Island Native American Indian Alliance Historical Society founder Denise Evans-Sheppard, and historian and author Paul Mateyunas, as well as Thomas Abbe, Sydney Alexis Adams, Carmine Auriemma, Kerriann Flanagan Brosky, Bill Dieffenbach, Tim DiPietro, Laura Dougherty, Geoffrey Fleming, Adam Grohman, John Ellis Kordes, Nancy Leghart, Cate Ludlam, Paul Mateyunas, Nancy Melius, Brian Merlis, Nancy Leghart, Rick Smith and Yesenia Vasquez.
