Question of the Day: Favorite Holiday Song?
What is your favorite holiday song?
Although the early December weather has been unseasonably warm, it may still feel like the holidays are here; many local shops and restaurants have a rotation of music to get customers in the spirit.
So we're asking you, what is your favorite holiday song? Is it a popular tune, such as Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You"? Do you have a favorite rendition of a classic? Is holiday music not for you? Tell us in the comments.

It would have been more fun if we were asked about our least favorite Holiday songs. One of my least favorites is "The Twelve Days of Christmas". I also can't stand Bruce Springsteen's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". The Chipmunks make me want to go Chipmunk hunting. I don't like any rock Christmas song that's trying to make us feel guilty about feeling good ("They don't have Christmas Time in Africa"). I do like "Twisted Christmas" by Twisted Sister though, it's one of the only Christmas CDs that sounds good at full volume (although "The Nutcracker" is good loud too).

Nice choices, everyone.
@John Cocchiola: I never heard "Twisted Christmas." I think I'll give that a listen!
I, personally, enjoy "A Charlie Brown Christmas" soundtrack. It's one of the few holiday albums I consistently play this time of year.

I'll never tire of hearing Bing Crosby sing "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"

I have to agree with Elena on this one. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" by the late, great Vince Guaraldi is a timeless masterpiece. The Beach Boys put out a pretty good album, too ... about one year before "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Clearly, two different styles, but just really good music all around.

Vince Guaraldi's stuff is great no doubt, I love it too. I love the instrumental version of "Christmastime is Here", but the sound of children singing gives me the creeps, so I skip the vocal version of the song. "A Twisted Christmas" is high on my list. I love it, it's terrible.

LOL ... In all honesty, I believe it's *only* children's ears that can tolerate that chorus. I usually end up doing the same thing (skipping the track) ... unless I get overwhelmed by a rare wave of nostalgia.

I love Trans Siberian Orchestra too, they blend classical and rock, some of it is pretty inspiring and intense. Good for driving, not for sitting by the fireplace. It ain't Perry Como (which I like too).

Charlie Brown Christmas sound track is the very best! I am also a huge fan of Blue Christmas by Elvis.
