I just want to say that mine are all Italian love songs from the opera or similar genre's. My all-time favorite is "Torna a Surriento," the Neopolitan classic written by Ernesto De Curtis in 1902. Can others weigh in on this: Am I living in the past, or something?

I'd say "My One and Only Love", the one on the Coltrane/Hartman album. There are about four on that album that would work fine. One of the great vocal albums of all time, in my opinion, all that and Coltrane too.

Would like to add one more to my list. Can't believe I left it off; it's only one of my favorite songs of all time ......... "Something" by The Beatles (George Harrison).
