5 Places to Spend Thanksgiving in Glen Cove

There are a variety of places open for business in the area this Thanksgiving.

 

Looking to get out of the house this Thanksgiving? There are plenty of businesses open in Glen Cove. Here are our picks:

1. St. Patrick's Share and Care Feast, 235 Glen Street, Glen Cove

St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church will serve a free hot meal to all members of the community which includes turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pies and more at 12 p.m. The feast is sponsored by Boar's Head.

2. "Fixe" Your Own Feast at Page One Restaurant, 90 School Street, Glen Cove

Page One Restaurant's Turkey Day menu offers a wide variety of soups, salads, entrees and desserts price fixed at $34.95. Entrees include Shrimp Scampi, Tilapia, New York style Shell Steak and the traditional roasted turkey, among other selections. A children's menu is also available for $16.95.

3. La Pace with Chef Michael, 51 Cedar Swamp Road, Glen Cove

If you are into the Thanksgiving spirit, but want to avoid the kitchen, celebrate the day with family and friends at La Pace Restaurant, where they are serving up a traditional Maple Crest roasted turkey dinner, with all the trimmings, alongside a choice of dessert for $24.95, with beverages, tax and gratuity not included. Help Wanted: La Pace is looking to hire two experienced waiters/waitresses and one bartender to assist with service on Thanksgiving. Shift is from 2-10 p.m. Requirements: Applicants must have a great attitude, customer service skills and clean-cut appearance. Appropriate dress: Black pants, black shoes and socks, clean white collared shirt and black bow tie (black vest is ideal).

4. Thanksgiving Food Drive and Gut Buster Workout, 480 Forest Ave, Locust Valley

Gold Martial Arts in Glen Cove and MetaBurn Studio in Locust Valley are hosting a calorie-burning workout at 8 a.m. The workout is free for those who bring three canned goods. All food will go directly to the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, who will distribute to the needy.

5. Enjoy the Glen Cove Nightlife!

Catch a football game, or grab a drink, at one of several Glen Cove hotspots: The Downtown Cafe opens at 10 p.m., and will feature karaoke; Cranky Anki's opens at 7 p.m.; and Kornerstone opens at 8 p.m.
