Two Charged for Assault Outside Restaurant

Police arrest pair for incident that took place Jan. 6 in Glen Cove.

Two men face felony assault charges for allegedly attacking another man outside Restaurante Morazan in the early morning hours of Jan. 6, according to the Glen Cove Police Department.

The 32-year-old victim told police he was leaving the restaurant at around 1 a.m. when one of the men punched him in the face and another slashed his left wrist.

Police said an argument between the two parties was the cause.

The victim was taken to North Shore University Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officer Eddy Linares arrested the two men Jan. 20 and charged them each with second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a weapon. They are being held at Nassau County Correctional Center in lieu of $11,000 and $15,000 bail.
