VIDEO: Irene Hits Yacht Club and Morgan Park
Hurricane Irene's tidal surge turned the Glen Cove Yacht Club and Morgan Park into dismal sights.
The height of Hurricane Irene crossed Glen Cove early Sunday. The storm brought a tidal surge to Morgan Park and the Glen Cove Yacht Club. The beach was under water, and boats were tossed like toys by strong waves.
Throughout Glen Cove, trees were blown down by Irene’s heavy winds, which also brought down power lines. Crews were out Monday and Tuesday repairing the damage.
