Glen Cove boxer Raul Nuncio's amateur style was often described as a timid, carefully-calculated, technical, defensive fighting method.

If Nuncio's victorious professional debut on Nov. 19 at the Paramount is any indication, he's firing on all cylinders this time around. 

Nuncio knocked out his opponent, Elmer Vera of Queens, just two minutes and 29 seconds into the first round.

Vera charged Nuncio early with an onslaught, though Nuncio utilized foot movement and tight defense to weather the storm, and then returned with his own offense until referee Arthur Mercante Jr. stopped the fight when Vera was not properly defending and returning fire.
