Video: Young Patriots Roll Through Downtown Glen Cove

City's youth participates in annual Bicycle Parade Monday in recognition of Independence Day.

When it comes to showing patriotism, kids in Glen Cove turn to a long-standing Independence Day tradition: .

More than 100 youngsters showed love for their country on Monday during the city's annual July 4 event.

City kids – clad in red, white and blue – rode decorated bicycles, battery powered vehicles and scooters through the city's downtown area.

The event – which ran along Forest Avenue and School Street – concluded with a patriotic sing-along led by Mayor Ralph Suozzi.
