The K.A. Deasy P.T.A. Health & Wellness Fair is a free event open to the public. The fair will provide information about nutrition, after school programs, sports leagues, and health service resources to the Glen Cove community. Spanish language interpreters will be available on site. Exhibitors will provide product samples, free health screening, karate, yoga, and dance activities for kids. Raffles will be held for (4) Mets 2011 Season field level game tickets, a Tom Seaver autographed baseball, Dick's Sporting Goods gift card, and other assorted prizes. Free Mets water bottles or lunch boxes for 1st 100 children to enter the fair.

More About Deasy Elementary School
The Katherine A. Deasy Elementary School was founded in 1927 and was originally named Central School. The school was renamed after former principal Katherine A. Deasy.
The Deasy School houses 442 students and serves students in pre-kindergarten through second grade. The school is situated on four acres of land, and lies between Dosoris Lane and Forest Avenue.
The school's goal is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of teaching to thereby serve the cause of educating its students.
