Say Yes to "Say NO". Did you know that violence against women is a worldwide pandemic?

Approximately 1 out of every 3 women worldwide has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime.  It happens everywhere – at home and at work, on the streets and in schools, during peacetime and in conflict. Violence against women and girls has far- reaching consequences, harming families and communities, stunting human development, and undermining economic growth. Everyone has a role to play in combating this global pandemic.

What: A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception followed by an esteemed panel discussion on women and violence, and a call to action via the "Say No- Unite" initiative.

The Details

Reception: During our cocktail reception, you will have a chance to meet other women leaders in all fields of endeavors from philanthropy, art, law, finance, education, media, advertising, the theater, and more. 

Panel Discussion:  Violence Against Women: The Pandemic, The Consequences, and What We Can Do

The reception will be followed by a very informative panel discussion with esteemed experts on the far reaching consequences of violence against women. The panel will be moderated by media personality Valerie Smaldone, and will educate us on the issues, but more importantly focus on what we can do to end violence against women including taking action through the Say No UniTE global coalition of individuals, organizations, governments and the private sector to realize a vision that is ambitious, but must never be impossible – a future that is free from violence against women and girls.
