National Night Out Is Tuesday

National Night Out is Tuesday in Glen Cove. Here’s what you need to know: 

• The block-party event takes place from 6-9 p.m. in front of Police Headquarters (1 Bridge Street) and the adjoining parking lot.
• You’ll find free food, refreshments, giveaways and entertainment.
• The Police Department will hold an open house with tours of the facility, a Taser demo, lessons on firearms safety, and child ID kits. 
• City officials, law enforcement officers, civic leaders, business and religious organizations will be present to meet and interact with residents. 
• EMS will have an information table, featuring emergency preparedness flyers and some of the latest medical equipment on display.
• EMS’  Explorer Post members will also have a table and will perform CPR/AED demonstrations.
