Glen Cove Police Department and Youth Bureau present "Prom Night, Don’t be a Scene of a Loss”

The City of Glen Cove Police Department and City of Glen Cove Youth Bureau presented  “ Prom Night, Don’t Be A Scene Of A Loss”.

The power point  presentation was put together by the Mentoring Director of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau Ms. Charmaine Clarke. The presentation was given by Sergeant Jack McDougal of the Glen Cove Police Department to over 220 students in the high school auditorium.

The event was made possible through the cooperation of High School Principal Dr Joseph Hinton, Youth Board Director Arlene O’Dell and Chief of Police William Whitton. Through the generosity of the Glen Cove PBA (Police Benevolent Association) twenty students won a corsage or boutonniere in a raffle which was conducted by P.B.A. President Sergeant Patrick Hall and  Ms. Charmaine Clarke of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau. Representative of SAFE (Substance Abuse Free Environment) Paula Castaglia issued safe ride coupons to students. Chief William Whitton told the students that as always the Glen Cove Police Department wishes them a safe and fun time.

Chief Whitton stated to the students, “ The members of the police department  care about each and everyone of you, do not hesitate to call, we will help you, our top priority is your safety, thank you and enjoy  yourselves.”
