Community Danced the Night Away at Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Zumba & Dancercise Fundraiser

Dancers of all ages joined renowned Zumba Instructor Carol Rodriguez of Carol’s Dance Moves at Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club’s Zumba & Dancercise Fun Night-Out Fundraiser, held on Friday, March 21.

The event was truly a fun night out with dancing sessions followed by mini breaks when raffles and prizes were presented to winners.  Carol Rodriquez of Bayville, who teaches a variety of Zumba and dancercise all over Long Island to dancers of all ages and skill levels, was instrumental in making this event a success.  Carol, along with a team of devoted Zumba followers, promoted the event, donated baskets for the raffle and sold 50/50 raffle tickets to raise funds in order to help the Club’s teens Essence Fowler, Elizabeth Garcia and Tanisha Williams, chaperoned by Teen Program Director Antoinette Edmonston, attend the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Keystone Conference. The Conference, one of the largest, most established youth leadership conferences in the country is taking place April 10-13, 2014 in Anaheim, California.

Local Glen Cove businesses including of Downtown Café Restaurant, Hair Above Salon, Glen Cove Florist, Glen Cove Nails, One Plus One Nail Salon, Page One Restaurant, Paparazzi Salon, Pretty In Nail Salon, Retro Fitness and Sherry’s Hair Salon, Worth Repeating of Locust Valley and DeFranco Spagnola of Roslyn also helped to support the event by donating gift cards for the raffle.
