2. Despite these hot and humid conditions, ambulance call volume in the City of Glen Cove is about average. In total, EMS has responded to 25 ambulance calls since Monday. Four of those calls were directly related to the heat. We normally average 8 ambulance calls a day.

Breakdown of call volume:

Tuesday July 16: 9 calls
Wednesday July 17: 4 calls (As of 9PM)

3. As a reminder the City of Glen Cove has designated the Senior Center (130 Glen Street) as a public Cooling Center. The Cooling Center will be open Thursday and Friday from 9AM to 9PM. For additional information or transportation contact the Senior Center directly at (516) 759-9615.
