North Shore’s 3rd Grade Girls Lacrosse Team Shines!

Can you say Third Grade North Shore Lady Vikings??!!

The Long Island youth girls’ lacrosse community is surely talking about them and the incredible season they had. All of their expectations were exceeded as they played in PAL’s Div 1 in Nassau/Suffolk Counties, which is the most competitive division in the league. The Lady Vikings played 7 teams this spring. These team’s Varsity programs will end up in the Top 50 Girls Lacrosse Programs in the NATION in 2014.  Among them are Garden City, Manhasset, Cold Spring Harbor, West Islip, and Wantagh. The Girls finished the season with an 8-0 record scoring 67 goals for (8.4 per game) and 11 goals against (1.4 per game).  They played an unselfish style of lacrosse with a focused effort on the defensive end of the field, leaving three opponents scoreless this season.  The roster consisted of twenty girls of which fifteen of them were able to score at least one goal. Their excitement to learn and play was simply contagious and the joke around the team was their Friday night inter-squad scrimmage was the game of the week.

These girls will bring smiles to their parent’s faces and the faces of the community for years to come.  They are truly and awesome group. We are all so proud of them!!
