Rain Doesn’t Deter Families from Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club 2nd Annual Family Fun Day at Bayville Adventure Park

A few scattered showers could not dampen the spirit of the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club’s 2nd Annual Family Fun Day at Bayville Adventure Park.  Families arrived in droves on Wednesday, July 10 just as the sun broke through the clouds, making it a delightfully sunny afternoon to enjoy the many attractions at the Park.

Kids of all ages participated in the Pirate Adventure Miniature Golf, the Brittany Bay Jungle Tree Top Ropes Course, Bumper Boat Safari, Bungee Bounce Dome, Wild Water Balloon Wars, the Lost Temple Forgotten Maze, Mystery Funhouse, Rock Climbing and Adventure Express Train, only taking breaks to enjoy a slice of pizza or munch on popcorn.  More than 150 kids participated in the fundraising event with all net proceeds going towards Club programs to benefit the children of the Glen Cove community.

“We’re so grateful to event committee Wendy Fentress, Christina Collins, Aimee Eberle, Alex Gulden, Colleen Haskell, Michelle Ort, Allison Pell Smith and Julie Zarou for all their hard work in promoting the event and bringing their friends and family to this special fundraising effort.  We’d also like to thank our sponsors, and Anne Finley and the entire Bayville Adventure Park team for their outstanding hospitality and service.   We are so lucky to have friends and supporters who are not just champions for our cause and Club but are truly vested in our children,” said Melissa Rhodes, GCBGC Executive Director.
