This weekend, Sacred Heart Academy senior Maia Kelly will play violin with the Long Island String Festival Association Orchestra. The orchestra consists of the best string players in Nassau County, based on NYSSMA solo scores from 2013.
Additionally, four SHA students were chosen to participate in the All-County Festival in January. The festival is run by the Nassau Music Educator's Association which selects the top students again based on NYSSMA solo scores. The students pictured are:
