Glen Cove Halloween Parade Returns

Spooky day of fun includes costume contest, a pie-eating contest and apple pie bake-off.

The Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) is once again holding its annual Children’s Costume Parade on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Festivities begin at 12 noon at The Regency at Glen Cove, 94 School Street, with a ‘Scary Story Hour’ and refreshments.

Parade registration takes place from Noon to 1:00 PM at Village Square. Line-up is at 1:00 PM at the intersection of School Street and Highland Road. After the parade, children may trick-or-treat throughout the downtown at businesses displaying the special BID “Welcome” posters.

There is a "Fun Bus" in Village Square from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. How about a costume contest, a pie-eating contest and an apple pie bake-off? They have them all! Marchers must fill out a registration form. These can be obtained, along with applications for the pie-eating contest and pie bake-off, at the Downtown B.I.D. office at 18 Village Square, or online at www.glencovedowntown.org.

The Glen Cove High School DECA Club, The Glen Cove Youth Bureau, and CAUSE class will be assisting. The parade is proudly sponsored by Polin, Prisco & Villafane,
architects LOFT PLLC, and Starbucks Coffee Co.
