Glen Cove Opens Warming Center, Trash Pickup Rescheduled

City to open warming center at Glen Cove Senior Center.

The City of Glen Cove is readying for Snowstorm Hercules, expected to drop up to 10 inches of snow on Long Island over Thursday and Friday. The following emergency information was released by the City Thursday afternoon. 

1.     Warming Center: The Glen Cove Senior Center will be open as a warming center as of 6 p.m. Thursday.

2.     Power Outage: To report a power outage, please call PSE&G at 1-800-490-0075

3.     Parking: To ensure your safety and that of our first responders and public works crews, please park your car ONLY on the ODD-numbered side of the street if you do not have a driveway. If there’s no other alternative for parking your car, you may park your car in the municipal parking lots, space permitting.  

4.     Trash and Recyclables: The collection of trash and recyclables scheduled for Friday is cancelled and will be collected on Saturday.
