Glen Cove Senior Recognition Day Set for May 10
The community's help is sought in locating centenarians
Glen Cove’s Senior Recognition Day will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in downtown’s Village Square, according to the City of Glen Cove.
The program there will feature vendors, food, and music for seniors and their families to enjoy. Carolyn Willson will receive this year’s lifetime achievement award and Janina Jania has earned the volunteer of the year award. The public is welcome to join the celebration.
Mayor Reginald A. Spinello and the Senior Recognition Day Committee are asking the public's assistance: If you have, or know of a centenarian in our community that the Senior Recognition Day Committee can invite to the event, contact Laurie at 759-9610 or by email at lhuenteo@cityofglencoveny.org.
