Holiday Health Fair at Glen Cove Hospital
Holiday music, shopping, Santa, health screenings and more on Sunday.
Celebrate the holidays, and at the same time, boost your health and wellness during this busy season at Glen Cove Hospital’s holiday health fair, Sunday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hospital’s Pratt Auditorium, 101 St. Andrews Drive, Glen Cove.
The festive event will feature holiday music and a Christmas shopping boutique with local vendors. There also will be fun activities for children, including pictures with Santa and his elves, free gifts, and hot cocoa, cookies and apple cider for all.
Health screenings for adults include: blood pressure, diabetes, pulmonary function and body mass index (BMI) calculations. Free flu shots will be available and community members may meet with Glen Cove Hospital pharmacists to review their medications. (Residents are asked to bring their prescription medications and over the counter drugs in a bag.)
Staff will be on hand to provide education about stroke and diabetes as well as answer any questions about changes occurring at the hospital.
