International Coastal Cleanup Day at Pryibil Beach

Participate in one of the world's largest volunteer data gathering efforts on behalf of the marine environment.

Volunteers are needed for the 27th annual International Coastal Beach Cleanup this Saturday (Rain Date will be Saturday, September 28th ). The event is one of the world’s largest volunteer data gathering efforts on behalf of the marine environment.

Volunteers will help clean the beaches and inventory litter on data cards provided by the American Littoral Society. This information will then be forwarded to The Ocean Conservancy in Washington D.C. who will review each tallied item indicated on the data cards and report on the status of our waterways worldwide.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Pryibil Beach at 9 a.m. on Sept. 21. In addition to the good feeling that comes from helping protect our environment, all volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation from the American Littoral Society. Refreshments will be served.
