Nassau HMTC Hosts Annual Tribute Dinner

Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center in Glen Cove celebrates 21 years of standing up to hatred, intolerance and bullying.

More than 400 people celebrated 21 years of standing up to hatred, intolerance, and bullying at the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County’s (“HMTC”) Annual Tribute Dinner on Tuesday, November 19th.  The celebration was led by Keith and Samantha Gutstein and Jordan and Robyn Linn at Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation.

The Hon. Jon Cooper and Jack Foley were the Tribute Dinner Honorees, and both have made major contributions to the business and public sectors on Long Island. They shared their personal stories and devotion to teaching their children to be Upstanders in their own communities.

According to Steven Markowitz, HMTC Chairman, “We are extremely gratified with the wonderful turnout for our annual Tribute Dinner and for the outpouring of support for the work that we do.  If we, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County, can play a role in changing attitudes and behavior today, then we are paying the greatest respect to those who suffered, and those who died because of unimaginable hate.”
