Pedone 5K Walk Pre-Registration Ends Tuesday

Pre-registration for the Nicholas Pedone 5K Walk to raise money for the 7-year-old's cancer treatment will remain open until Tuesday. 

That's two days later than the original deadline of Sunday. Registration can also be done the day of the event for $5 more.

Pre-registration costs $25. A Fun Run for children 10 and younger costs $5 per head.

All proceeds will go toward covering the uninsured costs of Nicholas's stage three neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.

Registration forms can be downloaded from the Glen Cove School District's website.

All Fun Run participants will receive a medal. Medals will also be awarded to the top three finishers in each of nine age groups, and trophies will go to the top male and female finishers and top wheelchair finishers, male and female.

Race-day registration and check-in will be held from 7 - 8:30 a.m. in the high school's gym. The race will commence at 9:30 a.m.
