Photos: Jewelry Workshop at Garvies Point Museum

Jewelry makers from beginner to experienced from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens attend the workshop instructed by Kathleen DiResta.

The Jewelry Workshop at Garvies Point Museum runs 10 lesson sessions for each season of the year. The class is mixed with beginner and experienced jewelry makers, with projects ranging for the beginners and assistance to the experienced with their original creations. Every week techniques like sawing, soldering, forming and texturing are covered. The workshop is fully equipped with the necessary tools including polishers, torches, and a rolling mill.
