Program to Honor Greek Jews Massacred During Holocaust

To mark Holocaust Remembrance Day, Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center in Glen Cove hosting presentation on decimation of Greece's Jewish population.

With the Holocaust a global tragedy so massive that history is challenged to cover the full reach of its horrors, the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County strives to shine a spotlight on aspects that have received less exposure than others.

One such program will take place Sunday. The plight of Greek Jews, who were all but wiped out when Nazi Germany invaded their country, will be heard and honored. A special multimedia display on Greek Jewry will be exhibited.

The fully catered event will start at 2 p.m. More than 400 people are expected to attend, according to the Center.
