Shelter Animal of the Week: Ben

Ben is a sweet and lovable Cocker Spaniel in need of an owner with plenty of time to play.

Ben is an eight year-old Cocker Spaniel, one of ’s many adoptable dogs. He has been with the shelter for over a year and is looking for a new home.

It is almost impossible to believe such an energetic dog could be in his adult years. He loves to frolic and be walked. That is why it is preferred he is adopted into a home with an adult family, where someone has plenty of time to play with him.

With such a sweet face, it is hard to ignore an animal like Ben. However, it is possible he has been overlooked by shelter visitors because he is considered a special needs dog. Once adopted, Ben will need some additional attention, as he suffers from chronic ear infections.

His ailment pales in comparison to his outstanding beauty and obedient behavior. He is a medium size with a soft, shiny, golden-brown coat and big eyes.

Ben is also neutered and up-to-date with routine shots.
