Shelter Animal of the Week: Charlie

Charlie has a personality as vibrant as his orange coat; but all he truly wants is a best friend.

Charlie is quite the character, and a favorite of the .

“He’s a shoulder cat,” exclaimed Mary, a shelter employee, who took Patch on a tour of the spacious sun rooms where many of the cats love to lounge in the spring, especially on a sunny day.

She meant exactly what she said. Charlie had no qualms about positioning himself on her shoulders to get a better view of the world - as if he wanted to be a human, himself.

Charlie is an adult cat at 10 years of age. However, his charisma and spunk is hard to ignore. His personality is just as vibrant as his striped, orange coat.

This lovable fellow may be a larger in size than previously-featured felines, but he’s as gentle as a kitten and longs to have a buddy to pal around with.
