Shelter Animal of the Week: Elmo
Elmo is as soft and lovable as his namesake, the beloved Sesame Street character.
Elmo is a soft, adorable Domestic Short Hair who is about two years old or possibly younger. He is one of ’s many adoptable teenage cats, who are more than worthy of a loving home.
He is a medium size with a luxurious black and white coat and bright yellow eyes that just “pop.” He is a favorite amongst shelter staff because of his calm and sweet demeanor, and wonderful behavioral skills.
Although he is a little shy around visitors at first, he truly embodies his namesake: the fun, cuddly character from Sesame Street.

Elmo loves to be pet in nice, long strokes and would enjoy the company of adults, as he does not entirely enjoy being picked up or held for long periods of time.
