Thanksgiving Day Workouts: Football and Gut Buster
Residents burn calories before Thanksgiving Day feasts.
There's more to Thanksgiving than feasting with family and friends.
In preparation for the overload of turkey, pie and candied yams, Glen Covers spent the morning burning calories that they expected to consume at dinner.
Patch caught up with residents at and on Thursday morning, as they took part in some pre-meal cardio.

Bobby Panzenbeck and friends coordinated a game of football at the High School.
"Its a good way to burn some calories before all that turkey and football," said Panzenbeck.

At Gold Martial Arts on Glen Street, residents donated canned goods, and in exchange, got their metabolism revved up with a 45-minute gut buster workout. The event was organized by Breakthrough to Fitness Personal Training & Nutritional Coaching, Glen Cove Fit Body Boot camps and Gold Martial Arts.
"Its a win-win," said Mike McShane. "Residents get to have a workout before they enjoy dinner, and cans of food are donated to help out others."
