Eglevsky Ballet to Perform at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

Eglevsky Ballet presents "Keeping the Vision Alive" by Marina Eglevsky, Acting Artistic Director.  The program, which includes contemporary and classic dance, will be held on Sunday, August 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park.  The event is part of the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival and is free to the public.

Directed by Marina Eglevsky, heir to Long Island's reigning ballet family, the region's leading professional ballet company presents an exciting and varied program that includes such spirited classics of the ballet repertory as "Tarantella" and "Gaite Parisienne." The performance stars Violeta Angelova and Momchil Mladenov, principal dancers of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet Company. The Eglevsky Ballet is widely known for its annual holiday treat for the families of Long Island, the full-length production of "The Nutcracker" that the company presents each December at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.

So come on down to Morgan Park Summer Music Festival for an evening of dance under the stars.  Morgan Park overlooks the harbor on Germaine Street between Landing Road and McLoughlin Street in Glen Cove.  Bring chairs or blankets, picnic if you wish.  Children are welcome.  Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted in Morgan Park.  In the event of rain the Eglevsky Ballet performance will be held in the Helen Dolan Theater at Friends Academy located on Piping Rock Road near the intersection of Piping Rock Road and Duck Pond Road in Locust Valley.  For further information, call 516-671-0017; email morganparkmusic@yahoo.com or visit morganparkmusic.org.
