Exhibit of Joan Harrison's Paintings Inspired by Hempstead Harbor

The Glen Cove Yacht Club is pleased to present an exhibition of pastel paintings by local artist and author Joan Harrison, Professor of art at LIU Post. These paintings of sea, sky, and landscape, whose subject matter is primarily Hempstead Harbor and surrounds, represent a new direction for Joan, best-known for her photographs and historical books GLEN COVE and GLEN COVE REVISITED. Meet the artist and pick up a signed copy of her newest publication, LOCUST VALLEY, co - authored with Amy Driscoll of the Locust Valley Historical Society.

Come down and visit the Glen Cove Yacht Club and browse these exquisite paintings on the shores that inspired them, Saturday June 9th and Sunday June 10th from 1 pm to 5 pm.
