Come to Garvies Point Museum and Preserve for our annual Garvies Point Day, Saturday, August, 4th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exciting & hands-on, educational programs, crafts, & films for children, adults, and families. LIVE Long Island Wildlife presentation given by Tackapausha Museum, Guided nature hikes, beach exploration, pond investigation, Butterfly Garden tour, nature films, nature crafts, Audubon Bird walk, Garvies family Cemetery tour, rock & fossil identifications, Nassau Mineral Club open house, and special program with U.S. Coast Guard for Coast Guard Day.
