The Polezhayev Family takes center stage at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival on Sunday, August 19.  The show, which will feature an entertaining mix of classics, jazz and tango, is free to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park.

Duo-pianists Yelena and Vladimir Polezhayev and their sons, violinist Anton and double bassist Simon, present a program of greats of the classical repertory, American
jazz and sultry Latin tango. Residents of Sea Cliff, the Polezhayevs are well known to local music audiences for their many appearances throughout the New York metropolitan area. Anton has performed with the New York Philharmonic and Mariinsky Orchestra. Simon was a winner of Juilliard School’s concerto competition and performed with the Juilliard Chamber Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall.

“I am thrilled to welcome The Polezhayev Family back to Morgan Park Summer Music Festival.  They are truly a gifted family. We are in for a real treat next Sunday.” said Marge Suozzi, executive board chairwoman.

Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has been providing free concerts in the park for 53 years.  The shows are completely funded through the generous donations that are received from businesses and individuals.   Taxpayer money is not used to bring this high caliber talent to the Festival year after year.

So, come on down to Morgan Park and enjoy a wonderful evening of family entertainment under the stars.  Bring
a blanket or chairs and picnic if you wish.  Please note alcoholic beverages are not permitted in Morgan Park.  Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove.  In the event of rain, the concert will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove.  For further information, call (516) 671-0017.  Email us at morganparkmusic@yahoo.com or visit us at www.morganparkmusic.org.
