Morgan Park Summer Music Festival opens 53rd Season with Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra

On Sunday, July 1, Brother Josephus and the Love Revival Orchestra opens the 53rd season of Morgan Park Summer Music Festival with a foot-stomping program of New
Orleans-style rhythm and jazz. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park and is free to the public.

Get set to be blown away by a wild Mardi Gras jambalaya of New Orleans rhythms, classic rock, feel-good secular gospel and old-school soul. The Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra, or BroJo, aims to impart a message of righteousness and love with a spirited one-of-a-kind stage spectacle. Radio station WWOZ calls them “awesome,” Times Union describes a BroJo concert as “a love party like you’ve never seen,” and Nipptown.com raves “every night is Fat Tuesday whenever they play.” BroJo has brought its colorful, exuberant musical “revolution” all over the country, including New Orleans, Los Angeles and New York City, where they’ve performed at such prestigious music venues as the Highline Ballroom and B.B. King.

“The lively music of Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra is a great way to start off the season.  I hope everyone will join us for what promises to be a very special evening in Morgan Park.  ” said Marge Suozzi, executive board chairwoman.
