United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Band to Perform at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

On Sunday, July 10 the United States Coast Auxiliary Band will perform its “Freedom Concert” as part of Morgan Park Summer Music Festival.  The concert, which is free to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the all-volunteer branch of the US Coast Guard.  Based in Ft. Salonga, the auxiliary’s band is under the direction of Patricia Catalano. Previous performances have been at the Northport Veterans Hospital, the Intrepid Museum, the Glen Cove Yacht Club and throughout the downstate NY area in parades and Coast Guard ceremonies. In its Morgan Park debut, the band performs the anthems of each branch of the US Armed Forces along with a variety of patriotic and nautical selections.

So, if you want to  enjoy an evening of patriotic music, come to Morgan Park on Sunday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. for a show the whole family can enjoy.  Bring a blanket or chairs and picnic if you wish.  Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove.  In the event of rain, the concert will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove.  For further information, call (516) 671-0017, email morganparkmusic@yahoo.com or visit www.morganparkmusic.org.
