The Glen Cove-based Scottish music duo of Gaitley and Jim Stevenson-Matthews will be performing at the 2012 Long Island Scottish Festival this weekend, the first year the festival is running for two days.
Gaitley will sing the national anthem during the festival's opening ceremonies Saturday morning, and will perform two sets on Sunday with Jim.
The festival runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The event, in its 52nd year, features musical entertainment as well as competitions, dancing, food, hands-on activities like wool spinning, bagpipe instruction and a petting zoo - all in the spirit of Highland traditions and style.
