Suozzi noted that Glen Cove is extremely fortunate to have such a fine outdoor setting to showcase music and that she was particularly heartened by the crowds that come out each weekend in the summer.

“My husband (former mayor Joseph Suozzi) loved the park,” she said, “and he loved hearing from people who had grown up in Glen Cove, traveled to Europe and beyond, then come home to tell us there was no finer setting for music than Morgan Park.”

“No single person could do this job without the help of the people here today,” she said.
