North Shore Author's Kids Books Deemed 'Best New Series'

Parents.com named Port Washington author Beth Ain’s “Starring Jules” as its "Best New Series." Geared for kids ages 6-9, the series and is also recommended as a pick for mother-daughter book clubs. 

“I was really surprised and excited – not just to be mentioned or for the exposure, which is amazing, but to be in such great company,” Ain told Patch. “There are some very special books on that list, so that's a big part of the thrill for me.”

Two books have already been released in the “Starring Jules” series, with a third book to be published in 2014.

What’s next in the writing life for Ain?
“I just started writing a contemporary, ever-so-slightly magical, novel for older readers,” Ain said. “Now that I'm officially suburban, I'm taking a lot of inspiration from the people and the town of Port Washington with only a little bit of New York City thrown in for good measure – so that's a lot of fun.”
