Grochowski – who currently lives in Chicago – was visiting her hometown when she decided to take a crack at the mic.
Grochowski said she's been playing music since she was eight and a teacher taught her to play guitar.

The weekly Page One Restaurant Open Mic Night is sponsored by Glen Cove Patch.
Every Thursday night, the mic is open to anyone who is brave enough to take the spotlight. Signups begin at 7 p.m. and performers take the stage at 8 p.m.
