Town Arts Council 2013 Talent Contest Announced

The Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council will hold competition at Long Island High School for the Arts in Syosset.

The Town of Oyster Bay and the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council will hold the 2013 Talent Competition on Saturday, March 2 at the Seymour Weiner Theatre at the Long Island High School for the Arts in Syosset.

“Open to all students who reside in or attend school in the Town of Oyster Bay, kindergarten through 12th grade, the 2013 Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council Talent Competition represents an opportunity to celebrate inspiring performances in vocal, instrumental music, dance, magic, drama and comedy,” Councilman Joseph Pinto said. “This annual event serves to highlight the very things the Arts Council stands for, and that is promoting and stimulating performing and visual arts within our local communities throughout the Township.”

The deadline to apply for the competition is Monday, Feb. 11. Residents interested in performing are encouraged to visit the Town's website. Applications can be downloaded there or at the Council's website.
