Village Square to Feature Summer Concert Series

Artists will perform in Glen Cove's downtown every Friday night in July and August.

Old Westbury Web Radio will broadcast nine nights of live music from Glen Cove's Village Square starting next month, the station announced.

Downtown Sounds will feature acts each Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Glen and School Streets in Glen Cove's downtown. 

Old Westbury Television will stream each concert live at www.ustream.com with the keyword OWWRNY. The radio station will broadcast live from 7 to 11 p.m. at www.owwrny.org.

Some seating will be provided but attendees are encouraged to bring their own. Attendance is free.

The event is hosted by station manager Joseph Manfredi.

In the event of rain, shows will be moved to Robert M. Finley Middle School.

Both broadcasting stations are located at the SUNY College at Old Westbury.

• July 20th – Antigone Rising 

• July 27th – The Good Rats 

• August 3rd – Aztec Two Step, with Special Guest Jim Dawson 

• August 10th – John Oates Band 

• August 17th – Dec8Dia 

• August 24th – Toby Walker, with Special Guest Gail Storm 

• August 31st – Soul Sound Review
