Brooklyn Woman Dies at Glen Cove Pool Party

An 18-year-old Brooklyn woman died Friday after being pulled from the deep end of a pool in Glen Cove, police said.

Glen Cove police said they were called to a house party on Valley Road following a report of a possible drowning about 1:45 a.m. Friday.

The woman had been pulled from the deep end of the pool and party guests were administering CPR to her, police said.

Glen Cove police and EMS units continued the efforts to revive the woman but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.  An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
