The Long Island Power Authority will host an informational workshop at City Hall's main chambers next week to outline what residents should know about storm response and hurricane preparedness, according to the city.
The company will also discuss its internal process before, during and after a major storm.
A 20-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The event will run from 7 - 8:30 p.m.
LIPA will not address reliability or questions which are not storm-related, the company stated on a flyer for the workshop.
Hurricane season in the Atlantic lasts from June 1 to November 30, according to the National Hurricane Center.
