Bites Nearby: Glen Cove Bagel Cafe

With such a large assortment of lunch items to choose from, deciding what to eat at the Bagel Cafe could be the toughest part of your afternoon.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Glen Cove Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Their wide selection of bagels (which are hand-rolled, water kettled and baked daily) are served fresh. They are also some of the biggest bagels in town.

If you think choosing one is hard, try picking out a topping for it! They have an interesting assortment of cream cheeses, which include: vegetable, scallion, lox, olive, cinnamon raisin walnut and sun-dried tomato jalepeno.

Sometimes waiting in line is a good thing at the Bagel Cafe. Their vast amount of menu items make it almost too hard to choose. They serve breakfast (bacon, eggs, etc.), fresh chopped salads (made exactly to your liking), paninis, salads by the half-pound (such as tuna, chicken or egg), sandwiches, wraps and sides (macaroni salad, coleslaw, etc.).

Don’t forget their baked goods. They truly are as yummy as they look.

The Bagel Cafe now offers free WiFi, so feel free to stay and enjoy your hearty meal while you surf the Web or watch T.V. Be a fan on Facebook to get a sneak peek at upcoming specials.
