Empty in Glen Cove: Former Glen Cove Florist

Share your ideas for what might be a good fit in this space.

While Glen and School Streets comprise the heart of Glen Cove's downtown business community, there are a growing number of empty stores showing "For Rent" signs.

This week's property is located at 57 Glen Street, which formerly hosted the Glen Cove Florist, Priscilla's Sewing and 88 Wines. Glen Cove Florist recently moved to a new location on Forest Avenue, and 88 Wines has gone out of business.

The second floor has been occupied since 1997 by the Gold Coast Gazette, according to the paper's owner and editor, Kevin Horton.
